13th October 2010 - ‘DGCOS significantly increased sales’ says Radcliffe Glass

Manchester-based installation company Radcliffe Glass & Windows says sales have ‘significantly increased’ since becoming a member of the Double Glazing and Conservatory Ombudsman Scheme (DGCOS) in June. Clive Powers, Managing Director of Radcliffe, says his sales team have made good use of the marketing materials, which include a ‘Peace of Mind’ pack outlining the benefits of the scheme to homeowners, and a DVD, both featuring TV’s Nick Ross. “Our customers see us as a reputable, high end company that offers something extra,” explains Clive, “and they are far less likely to negotiate on price. 01 April 2010 - TVs Rogue Traders Question the Value of Trustmark

 

On Monday 8th March BBC One’s Rogue Traders challenged the Government endorsed Trustmark scheme. Millions of viewers saw it award Yorkshire based roofer Munro Solutions, a Trustmark trusted trader, with its own more appropriate Disgust Mark. Alerted by viewer complaints the programme’s presenters Matt Allwright and Dan Penteado filmed the company in the act of damaging a roof, deliberately creating a hole in it, exaggerating problems and inflating the cost of the job.
